According to the Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency it takes most people 45 hours of driving lessons before they pass their driving test in the UK.
We realise however that, just like anything else in life, everyone has different levels and abilities when it comes to driving and that’s why the pace of progression can vary quite significantly from person to person.
Over the years we have seen people reach test standard in as little as 30-35 hours of driving lessons for example. It would however be more common for students to take somewhere in the region of 40-45 hours of driving lessons to reach test standard and for them to feel confident behind the wheel in all different types of driving situations.
Learning to drive these days requires a big financial investment and that is why we’re committed to progressing through the driving lessons thoroughly but also in a timely manner. Absolute transparency will be provided to each student as to their individual progression and a clear outline of what has still to be covered will be given to each person taking their driving lessons with us.
